BUS6011 Task summary:

You are required to complete BUS6011 assignment in a written report (Microsoft Word) format. You will assume the role of either:

Option 1: Entrepreneur – proposing a new independent start-up business venture.

OR

Option 2: Intrapreneur – proposing a new intrapreneurial project within an existing corporate organisation.

In both cases, you must generate a unique and original business idea that has not been previously implemented or based on published case studies. Your work must be underpinned by academic literature and demonstrate critical engagement with theories of entrepreneurship, creativity, innovation, and sustainability.

Prepare a comprehensive business case portfolio that demonstrates the following that delivers and communicates key information to potential investors and stakeholders:

• Idea conception and development:
  • Critical evaluation and application of theories of idea generation, creativity, and innovation.
  • Evidence of environmental scanning and market research to refine the idea.
  • Justification of your suitability to lead the venture including entrepreneurial characteristics and motivations.
• Business case development:
  • Clear articulation of the business opportunity and model (using the Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Canvas).
  • Integration of technology, innovation, development of competitive advantage, methods of managing an enterprise, success factors and sustainability considerations.
  • Go-to-market strategy including segmentation, targeting, positioning and marketing mix (4Ps/7Ps).
  • Business risks and mitigation strategies (using appropriate Risk Matrix).
• Executive summary:
  • Concise overview of the problem, solution, target market, point of differentiation, sales forecast, financial projections and financing required.
