This assignment is to be in the form of a 20-minutes Individual presentation delivered in the classroom during the week 5 scheduled class. The duration of 20 minutes comprises a presentation and Q&A session. The word limit is 2000.

Module learning outcomes:

• LO1: Identify different main sources of business finance, describing their benefits and constraints;
• LO4: Demonstrate appropriate academic writing skills, referencing and good academic practice and make decisions on organising material in a logical and coherent way with an audience in mind.

OVERVIEW

A PowerPoint presentation (20 minutes) is used as evidence to demonstrate your sound knowledge and understanding on sources of business finance. You will be required to identify appropriate sources of finance by describing their advantages and disadvantages. Your PowerPoint presentation slides should be professionally prepared and presented.

The submission of the presentation must be done in Microsoft word format. Each slide from MS PowerPoint must be copied to a separate page of MS Word and the speaker’s note must be included just below the pasted slide on MS Word. Both the slides and speaker’s note should have appropriate in-text citations and references according to CCCU Harvard referencing.

1. What is business finance?
2. What are the needs for business finance?
3. What is the importance of finance manager?
4. What are the factors to consider when selecting appropriate sources of finance?
5. Identify five different sources of finance, their benefits, and limitations
6. Produce appropriate speaker’s notes to accompany the PowerPoint slides.

The PowerPoint slides and speaker’s notes should demonstrate appropriate academic skills: logical coherence, Harvard referencing style, and professional format.
