Assessment Brief

The assessment for Public Health has one component part.

Task 1: Produce a health promotion campaign and an evaluative report which.

• Develops an understanding of disease and ill-health and the underlying principles behind inequalities in health.
• Analyses a range of strategies to promote and enhance health.
• Analyses the role of epidemiology and demographics in relation to public health practice.
• Evaluates theories and approaches of health promotions relevant to health issues within professional roles or work placement.

Prepare a personal analysis In a Report format.

You are expected to produce a health promotion campaign by using a PowerPoint presentation of a maximum of 15 slides on a Word or PDF document.

The content should cover the following learning outcomes:

• LO1– Develops an understanding of disease and ill-health and the underlying principles behind inequalities in health.
• LO2– Analyses a range of strategies to promote and enhance health.
• LO3– Analyses the role of epidemiology and demographics in relation to public health practice.
• LO4– Evaluates theories and approaches of health promotions relevant to health issues within professional roles or work placement.

You are required to do the following.

• Create a maximum 15 power point slides with key points of the summary of the findings.
• Support the presentation with notes of 1500 words (+/- 10%) by elaborating and supporting the key points that you are emphasising in your power point slides.
• Submit both in a single file (either in Word or PDF)
• Online submission will take place on Turnitin.
