Submission Format:

This report are to be submitted  in two forms.

Individual Report (LO1, LO2 and LO3) – This must be written in a concise, formal business style using single spacing, Arial font style and font size 12. You are required to make use of headings, paragraphs, subsections and illustrations as appropriate. The recommended length of this submission is 4000 words, although you will not be penalised for exceeding 4000 words.

Presentation Slides (LO4) – This covers the pitch for LO4. All work must be referenced to the Harvard Referencing system. The work must also include a bibliography for all referenced work using the Harvard referencing system.

LO2:  Investigate the effectiveness of the use of digital technologies to achieve business objectives

LO3:  Develop a transformational digital strategy plan to support the implementation of digital technologies within an organisation.

LO4:  Present the design of a selected mobile application to support a digital strategy within an organisation.

Assignment Brief and Guidance:


You are hired as a digital business transformation consultant  by a company providing digital business transformation services to global business organisations. One of your client’s has decided to digitally transform it’s business to meet  contemporary business standards in order not to loose out to competitors. You are therefore required to write a report to the client. The report should:

  • Critically evaluate a range of digital business approaches within global organisations and their importance to promote  business growth. In addition use examples to  explore the relationship between those contemporary approaches to digital business and how they impact on meeting the organisation’s KPIs successfully. Further, assess the effectiveness of the use of digital technologies and investigate how they can be used to achieve business objectives in a range of global organisations.
  • Formulate a transformational digital strategy plan and an accompanying mobile application design through the consideration of key economic, social, cultural, technological, political, environmental and behavioural data to justify its implementation. In addition, assess how the digital strategy plan can assist the organisation’s a competitive edge.


  • Based on your formulated digital strategy plan for your organisation, select the mobile application and design a pitch to demonstrate ways in which the mobile application can support  different digital strategies within organisations.
